Date:datemonth12 27,2012

Sponsored by the Chinese Culture Promotion Society Macau Office and jointly organized by Nam Kwong International Convention & Exhibition Center and CIEC (Macau) International Convention and Exhibition Co., Ltd., Bride of the World 2012 Final came to an end at the Venetian Theater on October 26, attracting competitors from 34 countries and regions including India, the U.S., Canada, Italy and China.

Bride of the World 2012 Final is the world’s first bride-themed contest aimed at promoting cultural exchanges, spreading contemporary marriage cultures and concepts, and building positive values on marriage and proper wedding consumption concepts. The finalists were selected after primary contests in various countries and regions. In the final, Christina Dalgaard Mikkelsen from Denmark, Fong In Inez Leong from Hong Kong and Aruni Rajapakse from Sri Lanka seized the first place, second place and third place; Camilla Reis Cavalcanti Gois from Brazil and Eelee Lio from Malaysia won the best ethnic costume prize and the best friendship prize.

During their stay in Macau, the contestants participated in on-location shooting in The Venetian, MGM Macau, Macau Tower, Ruins of St. Paul's, Macau Museum and other scenic spots to promote the tourism resources and culture of Macau. They also made debut at the 2012 Macau Auto Show, creating a stir at the event and winning applause from exhibitors and visitors.

The competition was run in a market-based mode and represented a courageous exploration in the new field of the convention and exhibition industry. Despite the tight schedule, shortage of manpower, lack of funds, difficulty in coordination and even the risk of cancellation, the competition was organized successfully thanks to active coordination and solid work.
