2012 Macau Business Aviation Exhibition held at Macau International Airport

The 2012 Macau Business Aviation Exhibition, jointly organized by Nam Kwong Group, China Aviation Supplies Holding Company, and Macau Convention & Exhibition Association, was held at the Macau International Airport from October 26 to 28. The opening ceremony took place on October 25, and was attended by Fernando Chui Sai On, Chief Executive of Macau, Bai Zhijian, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR, Huang Danhua, Vice Chairwoman of SASAC, Zhou Bo, Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the State Council, Xia Xinghua, Deputy Administrator of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), Gao Yan, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR, Feng Yi, Commissioner of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macau, Francis Tam Pak Yuen, Secretary for Economy and Finance of Macau, Xu Kaicheng, Chairman of Nam Kwong Group, and Duan Hongyi, President of Nam Kwong Group.

Huang Danhua noted in her address that developing the convention and exhibition industry is an important measure for Macau to implement the central government’s requirements and moderately diversify its economy. She said, “The 2012 Macau Business Aviation Exhibition is jointly organized by Nam Kwong Group, China Aviation Supplies Holding Company, and Macau Convention & Exhibition Association. It brings together renowned aircraft manufacturers, airline operators and other related companies from home and abroad, and is the largest and most specified business aviation exhibition in Macau. SASAC will consistently support central enterprises to conduct strategic cooperation and actively perform their social responsibility. We hope and fully support Nam Kwong Group and China Aviation Supplies Holding Company to capitalize on their respective advantages and work together to foster the exhibition into a well-known brand and drive the development of Macau.”

Xu Kaicheng said that the 2012 Macau Business Aviation Exhibition exhibited 11 mainstream business aircrafts from well-known manufacturers at the heliport of the Macau International Airport, attracted more than 10 business aviation operators and a number of media, and invited more than 1,000 professionals and potential consumers from the Pearl River Delta, Hong Kong and Macau. He also noted that the forum themed “Business Aviation in Macau” would take place at the same time to discuss the prospect and trends of Macau’s business aviation market.
