2016 Macau Gaming Show and Asia Carnival held successfully
Date:datemonth11 28,2016

After the 2016 “China Macau Distinguished Gathering – Macau Auto Show, Macau Yacht Fair, and Macau Business Aviation Exhibition” concluded earlier this month, two more culture- and creativity-themed exhibitions organized by Nam Kwong Culture and Creativity Industry Co. Ltd. (NKCCI) were held in Macau in November. The MGS Entertainment Show – Creativity and Innovation (MGS 2016) showcased the vitality and development potential of Macau’s entertainment industry, and the Asia Carnival introduced the popular Tuzki cartoon character to build up its brand image, attracting a large number of visitors and wining wide applause.

Organized by Nam Kwong International Conference & Exhibition Co., Ltd. and co-organized by NKCCI, the MGS 2016 had an exhibition area of 15,000m2, and gathered more than 140 exhibitors, covering six fields of the gaming industry. It attracted more than 750 celebrities in the entertainment industry and about 15,000 visitors. The Macau Entertainment Summit was also held, at which gaming industry administrators and experts discussed the policies, investment environment and development prospect of the gaming industry. In addition, the Macau Pavilion was set up to demonstrate the city’s achievements in cultural and creative industries in recent years. The pavilion included three exhibition zones: a zone demonstrating the development of Macau’s tourism and entertainment industry, a TV and film zone, and a zone dedicated to NKCCI. The exhibitions featured traditional Chinese culture, information technology, painting and calligraphy, films and virtual technology, among others. Through the exhibitions, NKCCI hoped to bring visitors close to creative and innovative technology and cultural information, and increase their understanding of Macau’s creative industry.

The 2016 Asia Carnival was organized by NKCCI for the first time. The Tuzki-themed exhibition held in a transparent spherical tent attracted swarms of visitors with its creative design. The visitors could also visit the select Asian goods sales and exhibition area, participate in parent-child interactive games, and taste the find food prepared by Japanese master chefs. The cartoon rabbit image Tuzki, created by a Chinese college student who later sold it to Time Warner, was brought to Macau by NKCCI. On the one hand, the cartoon image, already popular on social media, could help to bring in people to the carnival. On the other hand, it could inspire cultural and creative workers in Macau to build local brands, so creative and design companies and groups of Macau were invited to participate in the carnival.

The 2016 Asia Carnival drew wide attention from local media including the Macau Daily News and Teledifusão de Macau (TDM). In particular, the Macau Daily News produced interview videos reporting the parent-child activities at the Asia Carnival. The Inspirational Youth Association and Ze’ai Charity Association, sponsors of the Asia Carnival, spoke highly of the preparatory work done by NKCCI. In the future, the company will continue to give high attention to customer service and experience, build quality exhibition brands, and stage exhibitions in creative ways to deliver a memorable experience to visitors.
