With a total exhibition area of more than 100,000m2, the three exhibitions brought together about 200 well-known brands from over 20 countries and regions, covering the auto, yacht and business aviation industry chains, and attracted about 170,000 visitors. During the exhibition period, more than 100 colorful activities were also held, including the auto, yacht and business aviation forums, business aviation experience, launch of new products, children’s drawing competition, photograph competition, and model contest, allowing the visitors to experience the diverse cultures of Macau.

The exhibitions received support and guidance from the Macau SAR Government, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR, Office of the Commissioner of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macau, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the State Council, Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Wang Wenbin, Vice Chairman of SASAC, addressed the opening ceremony of the auto show and attended relevant activities.

The 6th Macau Auto Show kicked off at The Venetian Macau Convention & Exhibition Center on the morning of November 4. In his address at the opening ceremony, Wang Wenbin acknowledged that holding the Macau Auto Show was an important measure to implement the deployments and decisions of the central government and the State Council. He expressed hope that central SOEs would take the opportunity and capitalize on their respective advantages to support Macau’s economic development and livelihood improvement, boost economic and trade cooperation between Macau and the Chinese mainland, and play a leading role in promoting Macau’s social and economic development. He also said that relevant government departments of Macau should provide continued support for the reform and development of central SOEs operating in Macau, so that they could make greater contributions to Macau’s stability and prosperity.

After the opening ceremony, Chairman Xu Kaicheng, Vice Chairman Ding Rongxiang, and President Duan Hongyi of Nam Kwong Group accompanied Chan Hoi Fan, Acting Chief Executive of Macau and guest of honor of the opening ceremony, Wang Zhimin, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR, Wang Wenbin, Vice Chairman of SASAC, Ye Dabo, Commissioner of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Macau, and Lau Kwan Wah, representative from the Secretariat for Economy and Finance, to visit the booths and talk with the exhibitors. The exhibitors all spoke highly of the progress the Macau Auto Show had made in recent years.

The auto show lasted three days and achieved fruitful results. Fourteen auto forums and more than 30 auto-themed activities were held. More than 5,000 exhibitors and industry insiders from 20 countries and regions including Brazil, Portugal, Brunei, Mozambique, Hungary, Slovakia, the U.S., Italy, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Vietnam, Switzerland, Iran, the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan participated in the forums and business talks, and nearly 400 journalists covered the events.

The 6th Macau Yacht Fair was jointly organized by Nam Kwong Group, Macau Convention & Exhibition Association and China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach), and received support from a number of organizations and companies such as the Macau Fisherman’s Wharf, Macau Yacht Club, Galaxy Macau, Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and Bank of Communications.

The yacht fair brought together about 30 domestic and foreign yacht brands. The 100ft Ocean Explorer Yacht made by Maxi Marine Group Ltd. of China became a highlight, and other water sports equipment and devices such as small land yacht, small sailboat, motor yacht, powerboat, motorboat, sailboat and windsurfing board also attracted the interest of professional players.

The yacht fair gave attention to marine ecological conservation and public welfare. The three-month online selection of the marine environmental protection ambassador drew attention from more than 500,000 people in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. The ambassador would participate in a series of marine conservation activities such as “no shark fins to protect sharks”, “prevent coral bleaching”, and “conserve marine ecology and address the marine litter challenge”.

This year’s yacht fair also featured fashion shows of haute couture designers, becoming the first exhibition to combine yachts and fashion in a profound way. World-renowned designers Zeng Fengfei and Lin Jinliang unveiled their new works for the first time in Asia. The fashion show themed “Brilliant Poem” created by Zeng Fengfei was infused with the Chinese flavor and the royal dignity, and the “Door God” new clothing line of Lin Jinliang ingeniously combined the Chinese style and Western fashion.

The three-day business aviation exhibition attracted more than 10,000 visitors from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and elsewhere. About 1,000 political and business elites, celebrities in the aviation, luxury car and yacht circles, and private banking customers were invited to the exhibition. VIP channels were set up to ensure professionalism, comfort and privacy and provide a good communication and sales platform for visitors and exhibitors.

A variety of events and activities such as the business aviation forum, science popularization lectures on aviation, exhibitor promotions, and paper plane competition were also held. The business aviation forum themed “aircraft finance and leasing promotes business aviation development” brought together more than 100 professionals. During the exhibition period, Nam Kwong Culture and Creativity Industry Co., Ltd. (NKCCI) and the General Aviation Industry Research Center of Beihang University signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two sides pledged to focus on Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau and cooperate in such areas as aviation industry consulting, aviation project planning and design, aircraft finance and trade, charter service, sightseeing and commuter flights, aviation convention and exhibition, aviation education and training, and incubation and operation of general aviation projects. They also committed to expand the business aviation industry chain, thus opening up new business areas for NKCCI.
