The Macau Business Aviation Exhibition, sponsored by Nam Kwong Group and organized by Nam Kwong International Conference & Exhibition Co., Ltd., was recognized as a “UFI Approved International Event” on September 16, 2016, following two other events also organized by Nam Kwong Conference & Exhibition and given the honor in December 2015 and June 2016 respectively – China (Macau) International Automobile Exposition (Macau Auto Show) and China (Macau) International Yacht Import & Export Fair (Macau Yacht Fair). It marks that both the Nam Kwong Group and Nam Kwong Conference & Exhibition have become UFI members and the Macau Auto Show, Macau Yacht Fair, and Macau Business Aviation Exhibition have joined the ranks of top-notch international exhibitions in the world.

UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, is the most authoritative certification body of the global exhibition industry with more than 600 members in 85 countries. The Nam Kwong Group and Nam Kwong Conference & Exhibition are two new members of UFI from Macau; other members from this region include Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), Macau Fair and Trade Association, and The Venetian Macau Resort Hotel. Less than 100 exhibitions organized in China are UFI approved events and there are only six in Macau, namely Macau International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF), Macau International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (MIECF), Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E Asia) as well as Macau Auto Show, Macau Yacht Fair, and Macau Business Aviation Exhibition, which are collectively known as the “China Macau Distinguished Gathering”. In comparison to MIF and G2E Asia that became UFI approved in their tenth and seventh editions, the Macau Auto Show and Macau Business Aviation Exhibition passed the strict UFI assessment in their fourth editions and the Macau Yacht Fair in its fifth edition. In the future, the three events will be reviewed and overseen on a regular basis to ensure they run more professionally, deliver better quality, and meet higher standards.

It is noted in the Five-Year Development Plan recently issued by the Macau SAR Government that “Macau should develop more exhibitions that meet the criteria set by international authorities such as UFI”. With the three exhibitions it sponsors becoming UFI approved events, Nam Kwong Group has made positive contributions to the implementation of the Five-Year Development Plan and set a good example of how central SOEs in Macau help to drive local economic and social development and advance the implementation of policies devised by the SAR government.
