In June 2009, the exhibits arrangement team of Nam Kwong Exhibition Service Co., Ltd. won the bid to design exhibition in the Macau Pavilion for the Shanghai World Expo. The company saw it not just as a business opportunity, but more importantly, as a political mission, and did its best to ensure the smooth execution of the service contract. Bearing in mind the significance of the project and the time limit, the exhibits arrangement team faced up to all the challenges such as harsh environment on site, communication problems caused by cultural differences, shortage of manpower during the Spring Festival, etc. and devoted themselves to the task of presenting the world the past, present and future of Macau where Chinese and Western cultures blend perfectly. Eventually, they completed the task successfully thanks to the full support of the Macau Pavilion Preparatory Office as well as the leadership and guidance of Nam Kwong Group.

On December 27, 2010, the State Council decided to award Nam Kwong Exhibition Service Co., Ltd. the honor of “Model Service Provider for the Shanghai World Expo”. The leadership of the company attended the grand awards ceremony held by the State Council in the Great Hall of the People and hosted by Premier Wen Jiaobao. The nine members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee including President Hu Jintao were all present at the event. Vice Premier Wang Qishan spoke highly of the company’s performance during the Expo and expressed hope for its new contributions to Macau’s prosperity and stability in the long run.
