Macau Convention and Exhibition Commendation Awards 2016 were unveiled on November 1, 2016. The 2015 Macau Yacht Fair, 2015 Macau Business Aviation Exhibition, and the Fourth Annual Conference of World Cultural Forum (Taihu, China) were put on the list of award winners. This is the second time that exhibitions sponsored by Nam Kwong Group and organized by Nam Kwong International Conference & Exhibition Co., Ltd. have received the Commendation Awards. Another event – the Macau Auto Show – won the Brand Exhibition Award in 2015.

Organized by the Macau Convention and Exhibition Association (MCEA), Macau Convention and Exhibition Commendation Awards 2016 was also supported by the Macau Foundation, Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), Macau Government Tourism Office, Macau Chamber of Commerce, Macau Economic Association, China Convention and Exhibition Society (CCES), and Asian Federation of Exhibition & Convention Associations (AFECA). Five awards were presented including Brand Exhibition Award, Brand Convention Award, Innovative Exhibition Award, Bid Convention Award, and Original Convention and Exhibition Award. The three cases submitted by Nam Kwong Conference & Exhibition stood out among the 21 candidates. The 2015 Macau Yacht Fair and the 2015 Macau Business Aviation Exhibition won the Brand Exhibition Award for their excellence in the arrangement of exhibits, overall planning, quality of service, outcomes and other aspects which made them good examples of brand building and produced positive impacts on Macau’s convention and exhibition industry. The Fourth Annual Conference of World Cultural Forum (Taihu, China) was given the Brand Convention Award for its outstanding performance in overall planning, organization, hospitality, on-site coordination and other aspects which also had positive impacts on the industry.

Ever since the “China Macau Distinguished Gathering” (i.e. Macau Auto Show, Macau Yacht Fair and Macau Business Aviation Exhibition) was launched, Nam Kwong Conference & Exhibition has been making progress every year to varying degrees and gained recognition of convention and exhibition organizers in Macau and the world. The Macau Auto Show, Macau Yacht Fair and Macau Business Aviation Exhibition have been selected into the ten international exhibitions that Macau would focus on promoting in the future, approved by UFI successively. Nam Kwong Conference & Exhibition has become a UFI member and received the Macau Convention and Exhibition Commendation Awards in two consecutive years. All these facts show, to some extent, that the company has seen continued growth in its capacity to organize exhibitions, the quality of exhibitions it organizes, and its influence in the industry. In the future, the company will support the Macau SAR Government as always in its endeavor to develop the convention and exhibition industry, adopt a more professional and pragmatic approach to the organization of exhibitions, and build an exhibition brand for Macau, helping to turn the city into an international hub of conferences and exhibitions.
