The “China Macau Distinguished Gathering - Macau Auto Show, Macau Yacht Fair, and Macau Business Aviation Exhibition” took place in Macau from November 6 to 9, 2014. To promote the development of Macau’s convention and exhibition industry and moderate diversification of its economy, Nam Kwong Group has organized four editions of Macau Auto Show and Macau Yacht Fair and three editions of Macau Business Aviation Exhibition since 2011 jointly with China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach), China Aviation Supplies Holding Company, and Macau Convention & Exhibition Association, with strong support from the Macau SAR Government, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macau SAR, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), and State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC).

At the 3rd Macau Business Aviation Exhibition, 18 mainstream business jets were exhibited, two more than in the previous edition. The exhibition served as a unique high-end service platform, and featured a variety of activities. The flight emulator was introduced to the exhibition for the first time, attracting a number of visitors to experience the fun of airplane piloting. At the business aviation development forum themed “regional business aviation development and commercial value”, the guests discussed the development and operating model and commercial value of business aviation, shed light on hot issues and difficulties in regional business aviation development, and proposed solutions. The business aviation experience activity focusing on the interior of business jets was also a new addition. Moreover, aviation knowledge lectures were held to increase the visitors’ knowledge about aviation and business aviation and promote interactions.

Macau boasts advantages in traditional medicine. The government has attached high importance to the development of traditional medicine, taken measures to support education and research on traditional Chinese medicine and its industrial development, and signed the traditional medicine cooperation agreement with the World Health Organization on the training of traditional medicine talents. In addition, local research institutes, universities, and associations are enthusiastic about traditional Chinese medicine and its research. The high-level conference on traditional medicine, which took place prior to the 15th anniversary of Macau’s return to China, was expected to take advantage of Macau’s feature as a blend of Chinese and Western cultures and its connection with Portuguese-speaking countries, Southeast Asia and Europe, strengthen its communication and exchanges with the Chinese mainland and the international community, accelerate the development of Macau’s traditional Chinese medicine industry and promote the moderate diversification of its economy with the support from the central government and the government of Macau.
