Macao Auto Show helps China-made Autos “Go Global”

 Macao Daily News - 2017 China (Macau) International Automobile Exposition (Macao Auto Show) was held at the Cotai Expo of The Venetian Macau. The expo has been constantly enhanced in terms of scale, history and proportion of overseas, met the strict assessment requirements UFI, and obtained the exhibition certification of UFI in 2015. Now it has become one of professional exhibitions in Macao focusing on international trade of automobile and its parts, with largest scale and highest level.

 At 10:30AM, the opening ceremony of the 7th Macao Auto Show was held at the Cotai Expo of The Venetian Macau. CPPCC Vice Chairman Edmund Ho Hau Wah, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao S.A.R. Director Zheng Xiaosong, Commissioner Ye Dabo of the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Macao SAR., SASAC Deputy Secretary General Peng Huagang, Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce Director General Sun Chenghai, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Equipment Industry Department Deputy Director General Qu Guochun, Board of Supervisors of Key and Large State-owned Enterprises Former Chairman Jia Chengbin, Ministry of Commerce Former Vice Minister and China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation President Xu Bingjin, China Machinery Industry Federation Executive President Zhang Kelin, and Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute President Zhang Zurong officiated the opening ceremony.

An integrated platform for demonstration and transaction

Peng Huagang made a speech, fully recognizing the 2017 Macau Auto Show, believing that the show, after six years of efforts, would showcase the achievements of China’s automobile industry, foster and enhance the image of China’s self-owned brands, propel China’s auto industry and China-made autos to go global, promote the building of Macao as a world travel and leisure center, enhance the image of Macao and promote the moderately diversified development of Macao's economy.

Zhang Zurong made a speech, saying that the show fully reflects the progress of Macao in promoting the development of the convention and exhibition industry, and indicates that Macao has become a new window for displaying China’s auto industry to the world.

2017 Macau Auto Show has all along focused on precise market positioning under the theme of “Brand, Bridge, and Opportunities”. Today, it has become a large-scale integrated platform where Chinese self-owned brands debut and make their mark on the world stage, where global luxury cars and famous vehicles are on display, and where imported foreign vehicles are showcased and traded in an all-round way. Covering an exhibition area of 65,000 square meters, the show attracted more than 200 renowned automobile manufacturers, relevant enterprises, representative organizations and industrial alliances from over 20 countries and regions. The event brought together a total of more than 400 super luxury automobiles, famous cars, special-edition cars and race cars, with three major exhibition halls of the Extremely Luxurious Cars, Imported Autos and China-made Autos.
